Office Risk Assessment Tool

UK Health and Safety Executive have released a new online risk assessment tool that they claim will:  “help cut back the time it takes to weigh up the hazards in offices to just 20 minutes”.

The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) has produced the web tool to help employers to consider relevant hazards in their office and think about how they control them to keep staff safe. The tool is supposed to help avoid unnecessary paperwork and bureaucracy for office-based businesses, which tend to be lower risk. The online tool prompts employers to answer a series of simple questions and the answers form their risk assessment and action plan. Simplified risk assessments for other low risk workplaces are currently being developed.
